Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
I’m sure you’ve heard it a ton already but I wanted to wish you one anyways! Here’s a little St. Patty’s Day workout for you to celebrate with and don’t forget to wear your green!
St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect way to wipe away my blues today. My mom and sister Caroline were up visiting for the weekend and they left early this morning. It was the first time I had seen them since our trip over New Year’s and it was wonderful.
We picked our guests up from the airport on Saturday morning and make a quick stop at Wawa for lunch. Our afternoon was spent car shopping in the rain which was stressful but much easier thanks to my mom. No new car yet, but we were able to narrow down what we want and are just waiting for the right one to come along.
We headed straight to Wegman’s for a quick shop and when we got back into the car, it was dead!! Just our luck, we just left a car dealership and had car trouble. Thanks to our friends at AAA we figured out that pot holes had loosened our battery cables and they just needed to be tightened. Thank goodness it was a quick fix.
Sunday we spent the day in NYC with some old friends from college and my cousin, Nicole. It was crazy how many people we ran into that we knew. It ended up being an Elon reunion and was great to see so many familiar faces.
Monday, I took the day off of work and we were able spend a little time relaxing and visiting with my uncle who was in town for work. Sadly, reality always sneaks back when we get comfortable in our fun and it was time to say goodbye to everyone. As luck would have it we only have a few days before Jon’s mom comes for a visit so we have something to look forward to again! Now I’m off to make some corned beef and cabbage before heading into work.
