Monday sucks! When I got out of bed this morning, it was pouring rain and I had coffee all over my shirt. Because of my husband’s generosity, I was able to get some extras. It was difficult to get out of bed in the cold and rain this morning, after such a wonderful and beautiful few days. The last weekend was perfect in every way.
It was a typical and unremarkable Friday. We spent the night relaxing on the couch in our pyjamas. The BODYPUMPTM 93 launch was the first thing I did on Saturday morning when I arrived at Fitfire. My performance in class was abysmal due to the sweltering weather, and the class size was small. In class, I grew as a person as a result of making mistakes and then learning from them.
After class, I drove back to my house to pick up Jon and Lilly because we could go to Ridley Creek State Park together. That’s one of our go-to spots for a little outdoor relaxation that’s not too far from our house. It was a treat to watch the buds on the trees open as well as hear the birds singing. Having completed a circuit of about four miles, we decided to take a break on a cool little rock perched atop the creek. Because Lilly enjoys playing in the creek, we try to make a pit stop there whenever we visit the park.
She must have been dehydrated because she didn’t just wade in the creek; she also sat there drinking the water that was all around her.
We had some friends for dinner on Saturday night, and I made ribs once more, as if we needed any more fun.
Sunday I spent a good part of the day at Fitfire mostly with the few fellow BODYCOMBAT™ lecturers who really are launching upcoming weekend. I couldn’t make it to the launch, but I still wanted to learn from of the experts. Because once I returned home, humans went to the grocery store, took a quick walk, but then wrapped in a blanket for Jon’s soccer game. It was bizarre how quickly the pleasant weather vanished and was replaced by a gloomy sky.
